Deceptive Vanity
1) Deceptive vanity and variegated,
In forms, shapes, appearances ,
All that eyes can behold,
You enslave mind and soul,
Becloud reasoning, lead to error,
You shatter dreams on altar of fantasy
Rendering man impotent in prime...
2) Deceptive vanity and vain,
Your roadway is still lustful and
Leads to cage of Hell,
Where you abode with vanquished captives, conquered souls,
In endless embrace of torture,
As shrieks, cries, wailings and lamentations of agony in deep regret,
Rent walls of burning Hell in eternal damnation...
3) Deceptive vanity and vain,
You still roam and roar,
You still compel and captivate
At Eden, you captured weak Eve to humble hapless Adam,
Today, you still traverse open world of man,
You still hypnotize and ensnare,
Appearing as real to impressionable humanity,
On your furious plain and envious trail are routes to Hades,
You have many faces but one addictive appeal,
You still constrict, conscript and enslave in conspiracy with Satan and Hell,
To dominate, subdue and subjugate humanity,
But at Calvary, Jesus Christ said No.
